Book: Sex, dating, and relationships

A must-read especially for Christians who are single or “dating” but honestly, I think everyone should read this book!

Overall: 9/10. “Sex, Dating, and Relationships” breaks down how sex can be viewed through the lens of the gospel (and vice versa) and offers a fresh, biblical perspective on “dating” as opposed to our societal or even modern christian take on dating. This book clarifies questions like “how far is too far?” through the redefinition of relationship categories through a biblical lens. It truly changed my perspective on dating, sex, and purity culture!

Simplicity: 10/10. This book is so straightforward. Backed with scripture, it logically lays out how sex and the gospel are connected, how we tend to misrepresent God with our sexuality, and how we can do better about that going forward. Very easy to understand and very well paced! It’s hard to put this book down.

Speed: 10/10. I literally read this book in 24 hours (probably like 2-3 hours of actual reading time haha). I am a fast reader, but this book is written in a very easy-to-digest way, and it’s only about 150 pages.

The primary reason that many of us do not adequately understand the gospel is that many of us do not adequately understand how sex relates to the gospel . . . sex and the gospel are intrinsically linked. In fact, to understand one is to make sense of the other.
